Express Yourself

The hardest thing sometimes is when people try to control how you express yourself. Whether it's how you dress, what you say or how you compose yourself; it isn't easy... You're ablity to dress a certain way; say you enjoy wearing a dress everyday or wear the same dress everyday then thats what you should be doing, You shouldn't be afraid to show who you really are. You are a one of a kind person, and should be able to show that person to the world... i can honestly remember when i was in high school I was going through the expressing faze where I was always dressing in dark colors, I was honestly trying to drown out my sadness in my colors... I was always looked at weirdly because I wore dark clothing. But one thing I will tell you that no one told me is that Its okay...You can wear what you feel makes you happy.

Another way of expressing yourself is through social media, we're all guilty of posting a few statuses or tweets expressing how we felt at a certain moment in time. Personally that is one reason I decided to start writing a blog, i hated that I was always told what i could and couldnt post. "Do you ever think before you write down your status" "I think you should take down that status." Yaya i heard them all... i get so frustrated because now i cant even tell everyone how i'm feeling at that moment, because people are going to block me or delete me. With that guilt its pushed me to avoid posting anything on fb, especailly since no one ever wants to not have friends to like their status or be their friend on Facebook. It sucks to feel that we cant express our feelings to anyone but ourselves. But you can talk to me if you need to express something.

The last bit of advice i can give you is that in life you can be who you want to be as long as you believe in yourself. Because without your ablitly to believe in yourself you might as well listen to all those people and do what they say is right. Always remember to be your own person because there could be a moment when someone gains the same fearlessness you have to express themself.
